What is causing Billy to yell and hit? Why is Emily crying in the corner? Why did Ali bolt into traffic on the field trip?

This workshop is based on the understanding that kids will do well if they can. If they aren’t- there’s a reason for it.

This workshop will show you a new way to understand WHY children behave the way they do. Once you understand what is going on in their brain, you will be much better equipped to handle behaviour management with lasting results.

In this workshop we’ll explore:

  •  understanding a theory that shows the three different areas of the brain responsible for kids behaviour.
  • The educators role in student behaviours, and how changing our approach is the easiest way to positively shape the next generation.
  • The “gas tank” theory that will help you understand how stress impacts behaviour and give you a whole new perspective on your students. I'll help you identify stressors happening below the surface, and show you how to intervene.
  • Small tweaks you can make with your students to minimize their stress and ultimately improve behaviour.

BEHAVIOUR & SKILLS FOR SUCCESS

1:00pm - 4:00pm

$50

For the ECE who's done playing behaviour correction "whack-a-mole";  Flustered, frustrated, and worn out. Does this describe your current feelings toward getting your students to “behave?” It seems like as soon as you get one behaviour in check, another undesirable one crops up, and all efforts to lovingly correct them fly out the window after the 17th time you’ve told them not to body slam you…this hour.

Now, imagine instead being able to understand the essential skills a child is missing (hence the misbehaviour) and then being able to guide them in the right direction. Guiding your child to master the 8 essential skills is proven to create behavioural breakthroughs. Decades of child behavioural research prove that when kids master the 8 skills I teach in this workshop, correcting negative behaviour gets predictably simpler.
All about the 8 life-changing skills children aren’t born with, and needs your help to master.

  • Why these skills are fundamental for correcting unwanted behaviour at it's root.
  • How flipping your focus from behaviour correction to skill development is the surprising missing piece you need
  • And how to avoid the 3 biggest mistakes that quickly derail empowering these skills within your students.
